SLA (Stereolithography) is based on the photopolymerization principle of liquid photosensitive resin. The liquid material is rapidly undergoing photopolymerization at a given wavelength or intensity of ultraviolet light - like lambda =325nm - causing its molecular weight to increase dramatically, turning it from liquid to solid. Its core technology is computer technology and material technology. The laser molding technology abandons the traditional machining method, controls the 3d numerical control molding system according to the geometric information of the parts generated by CAD, and forms the parts through the material accumulation of the laser beam. In this way, the design and machining of time-consuming and expensive molds or special tools are not needed, and the production efficiency and manufacturing flexibility are greatly improved.

Principles of SLA laser molding:
First of all, the liquid light curing resin is filled in the liquid tank. The laser beam can be scanned on the liquid surface under the action of the deflection mirror. The scanning track and light are controlled by the computer. At the beginning of molding, the working platform is at a certain depth below the liquid surface, and the focused spot is scanned point by point on the liquid surface according to the instructions of the computer, that is, point by point solidification. When a layer is scanned, the unirradiated area remains a liquid resin. And then drop a layer height, lifting table driven platform established level and covered with a layer of resin, device will be larger resin viscosity liquid surface leveling, leveling and then to the second floor of scanning, a new solidified layer firmly stick to the previous level, repeat until completion of the entire parts manufacturing, get a three-dimensional entity model the SLA process of forming parts precision is higher.

Characteristics of SLA rapid prototyping:

1. High machining accuracy, up to 0.1mm;

2, can manufacture complex shape (such as hollow parts), especially fine (such as jewelry, crafts, etc.) parts, suitable for mobile phones, radios, walkie-talkies, mice and other fine parts and toys and high-tech electronic industry housing, home appliances shell or model, motorcycle, auto parts or model, medical equipment, etc.;

3. Fast manufacturing speed of parts, capable of 0.1-0.15mm hierarchical scanning;

4, good surface quality, can make very fine details of thin wall structure, easy post-processing;

5. The processing is in place, and many details that CNC cannot process by hand can be processed, thus reducing the workload of post-processing;

6. Disadvantages: the photosensitive resin material selected for laser molding is relatively simple, and SLA hand plate is not as tough and strong as CNC hand plate, and the buckle is easy to break.

SLA rapid prototyping material (photosensitive resin) features:

Similar to the traditional engineering plastic ABS, with a certain viscous transparent or beige liquid, the workpiece is translucent or beige, good strength, can be assembled, self-tapping screws, spray paint, screen printing, the disadvantage is not resistant to high temperature.
